Wednesday Jun 9, 2010 - Addis Ababa Exihibition Center
Addis Ababa is to host the first Ethiopian financial exhibition, which is expected to gather most financial institutions in the country reported New Business Ethiopia from Addis Ababa.
Organizers of this first ever financial exhibition Ethio-Finance Expo I 2010, the long awaited exhibition focusing the financial sector in Ethiopia will take place from October 15th – 17th 2010 at the Exhibition Center.
The exhibition will take place under the motto of “Expanding Opportunities.
“Despite the ever growing trend of the financial sector represented by banks, insurance companies, saving credit associations and micro finance institutions among others, little is known by the general public about the complexity of these companies,” said Fiseha Alemayehu, Marketing Manager of Free Zone International Business.
“This is due to a sheer lack of opportunities for the companies to go public using various means of communication one of them being a coordinated expo in which the entire sector could come together and share available opportunities with the public,” Mr. Fiseha said at the press briefing held at Imperial hotel.
The upcoming exhibition aims to create an atmosphere where participants of the finance industry meet and put their specific competitive advantages clearly. The organizers also expect that it would be a place where those with the finance and those needing it most meet under one roof.
The organizers further added that apart from the exhibition, a half day panel discussion will be held at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel. The major themes of discussion are pertinent to the finance sector which includes but not limited to the development of share companies in Ethiopia and its trend and challenges of global economic recession in Ethiopian business |
